On Tuesday, 9 February, the
Year 1 class celebrated Shrove Tuesday, also known as "Pancake Tuesday". We
discussed how this was the day before Jesus headed into the desert for
forty days, and therefore decided to have a feast before leaving.
The Year One’s enjoyed cooking the pancakes
with Miss Sibbald and discussing the method we would use. The best bit was
being able to eat them at morning tea time!
Being the clever Year One’s that they are,
the students were able to recreate a visual sequence, putting the method into
the correct order. The students also had a go at writing down all the ingredients in list
form. They were very proud of their work
and took some pictures on their iPads.
