What a fantastic start to school we had in Year Two. It has been a pleasure getting to know everyone.
This week we participated in a number of activities designed to get to know each other. Using a ball of wool, we created a web based upon things we love. This then led to a discussion about a connected community and what does that look like? The students provided some fantastic insights into what they believe a connected community looks like. We then discussed how as a class we can connect with each other and show respect so that we all feel safe.
The students have also participated in the preparation of our class birthday chart. They were very excited to be able to do this and have helped prepare a beautiful and bright picture graph. Along the way they are participating in discussions about graphs and how why we use them.
I am really looking forward to working with the students and their families this year. I’M EXCITED!
