They have almost completed a six step inquiry process, which has seen them investigate what would happen if the Earth stopped turning on its axis, think of alternative solutions for Humans to survive, and then be told that we are going to evacuate to Planet Zephyr. Planet Zephyr has very similar characteristics to the Moon, so students had research what should be taken with them in a resettlement kit
The past two weeks have seen them creating their Re-Settlement kits.
These kits were allowed to contain up to 10 items, and then each group member had to connect their kits so that they were ready for space travel. Students will self assess and peer review these R kits next week, and they will be available for viewing at the learning conversations.
Next term, students will be investigating the local area of Ellenbrook, but in week 1 all students are expected to participate in a Camino Salvado from Subiaco to East Perth. Permission slips were due in on Wednesday, so please ensure that these are signed and brought into school.
