Week 3 Autumn Term

KINDY

The Kindy students have become experts at looking for rainbows in the sky after the rain has come through. This has prompted some further investigations in the classroom. We have been singing a rainbow song and learning about all the beautiful colours that God put into a rainbow. This got us thinking, "why isn't black in a rainbow?" There were some very creative responses! It was then discovered that rainbow starts with "r", which is the same letter at the start of Ruby and Riyanne's names. Next week we are going to explore other things that start with the letter "r".

YEAR ONE
The Year One’s have been busy bees lately! We are just loving hearing all about Chester’s crazy adventures. He has visited the zoo, helped with gardening and even enjoyed Fionn’s birthday cupcakes! He is feeling very spoilt and is looking forward to spending the weekend with Brody.

Within History we have been looking at what classrooms in the past looked like and how students used to write with quills. It’s been interesting to compare how different our classroom is from the past. We are lucky enough to have bright colours, sit at tables in groups and be able to use iPads and different forms of technology. It has been REALLY interesting to compare the past with the present.

Year One is looking forward to seeing the Year Two’s assembly this Monday (19 May) afternoon in the ELC Da Vinci space.
