ACC Lightning Carnivals

Students in Years 7 to 9 have participated in the annual ACC Inter-School Lightning Carnivals on Monday 5 May (Year 9 students) and Tuesday 6 May (Year 7 and 8 students). The aim of the Lightning Carnivals was to give students of all abilities the opportunity to participate in a winter sport and to represent their school.

All students represented the College with pride and the spirit in which they participated was very pleasing to watch. All students competed tirelessly on the day and hopefully a few new friendships were made.

Girls participated in games of soccer and netball, whilst the boys participated in football and soccer. Special mention needs to go to all of the Stage 1 Physical Education students who assisted in a number of roles including coaches, assistant coaches, umpiring and goal umpiring.

A special thank you to Mr Richard Lee, President of Ellenbrook Dockers Football Club, who kindly donated three sets of football jumpers for our students to use on the day.

There was a large number of staff who also helped on these days and we thank them for giving up their class time to do this. I would also like to thank and acknowledge the efforts of the Physical Education staff – Mrs Fiona de Courcier, Mr Gareth Elliott and Mr Brendan Buckley.
