Pre Primary's are having a Seusstastic Term!

Welcome back to school for a Seusstastic Term!

We have already commenced our study and creations inspired by Dr Seuss. We have created a village, by painting obscure boxes with vibrant colours. One of these boxes has become a ‘Thneeds’ Store. A Thneed is a ‘Fine-Something-That-All-People-Need’, which is featured in the Lorax story. The Lorax taught us about the importance of trees, which lead us into the discussion about Recycling. In the Junior School Da Vinci space you will be able to see some of the Pre Primary students' recycled goods.

We have begun learning about Safe and Unsafe choices. The students listened to the story of The Three Little Pigs and discussed how it is unsafe to talk to strangers like the Wolf. We also reflected on the special people that they can trust to talk to. Everyone deserves to be safe and happy.

As Mothers' Day is this Sunday, the Pre Primary’s have been creating some special treats to show how much they love their special Mummy’s. We have painted some beautiful pictures, and we baked Brownies in our new oven! The students got to lick the spoons after making the mixture and then Mrs Doherty wrapped up half the batch for Mothers Day. The best part was that there were EXTRAS, so the Pre Primary’s could eat some!

I hope all the Mothers are spoilt with smiles, hugs and happiness this Sunday!

God Bless,

Miss Emma Pritchard
