WELCOME BBQ AND PARENT INFORMATION EVENING, WEDNESDAY 13 FEBRUARY 2019

The College is holding the following events on Wednesday, 13 February which all parents/guardians in the Junior and Middle Schools are required to attend.

Junior School Information Session and Workshops
All parents of students in the Junior School are required to attend one of the Parent Information Sessions, which will be held in your child’s classroom. Parents are also encouraged to attend the additional workshops and may attend the optional workshops in the Middle School.  See below for the schedule of information sessions.

Parents of Year 7 Students and New Middle and Senior School Students - House Tutor Group (HTG) Presentation: 5.10pm – 5.30pm
Parents of Year 7 students  and new Middle and Senior School students are requested to attend their child’s HTG class to meet the HTG Teacher who will outline expectations for the year and highlight some of the important procedures and events. Students are also required to attend this session.

BBQ For All Families: 5:30pm – 6:30pm
All families are invited to join in a BBQ in the undercover area to welcome you to the Holy Cross College community for 2019. This is an excellent opportunity to meet new people, make new friends and build your support network. A gold coin donation is requested for the sausage sizzle and a drink.

The Friends of Holy Cross will be hosting the BBQ and are seeking assistance with the preparation, cooking and serving of the sausage sizzle and drink. Please advise the College office if you are able to assist.

Parents of Senior School students are invited to attend the BBQ.

Middle School Parent Information Evening – 6.30pm – 8.30pm
The Middle School Parent Information Evening is aimed at providing parents/guardians with a toolkit of ideas to assist their children. Parents are required to attend a compulsory session applicable to your child/ren’s year level and two further sessions as detailed overleaf. Students are required to attend with their parent/guardian in appropriate casual dress as per the College Standards for Uniform and Grooming. The schedule of sessions is attached below, indicating times and venue locations.

To assist with planning, parents/guardians are asked to register for each workshop online using the links provided in the email sent home earlier in the week. I commend this evening to all parents/guardians as a requisite event on the College calendar and look forward to seeing everyone there.
