Cross Country Carnival

The Junior School led the charge with their carnival in the morning in fresh conditions. The level of participation and House Spirit was simply outstanding with impressive support from their class teachers.

In an extremely close affair, Frayne were the overall winners of the Junior Carnival following on from their strong effort in the Junior Swimming Carnival.

It was fantastic to see a strong showing of support and attendance from parents and we look forward to this continuing at the next opportunity.

Moving onto the Middle and Senior School Carnivals and things started well with the Year 7 race completed in excellent time with an even better level of participation from the entire year group.

As the afternoon progressed, the House Spirit on display was fantastic, especially when the weather put a brief halt to proceedings and all students sprung into action to assist with getting everything back on track quickly. The students should be congratulated for their maturity and readiness to help during this time.

Congratulations to McCormack House on a fantastic victory which was achieved on the back of fantastic participation as much the strong performances at the top end.

A massive thanks to all staff (in particular the PE staff) for their efforts as a whole. Without this effort, these carnivals don’t happen.

Overall, the amount of effort, House Spirit and enjoyment displayed across the day was extremely pleasing to see.
