Year 8 students have started to explore the Middle Ages in Big Ideas. They have been set the challenge of surviving this diverse and interesting period of European history. After being introduced to what life was like in the Middle Ages, this week they have been assembled into tribes. Each tribe was then set the task of researching the feudal system and acting out their position within this system, as they all take on a role within their village.
This term will be exciting and turbulent, as the students are met with challenges that faced the Medieval population of Europe through almost 1000 years of history. The challenges will have links to Humanities, Science and Maths. Students will be asked to document their journey through this period in an e-book, which they will be promoting in week 10.
