The Friends of
Holy Cross Quiz Night was held on Friday 9 September 2016 in the new Lyon
building with 140 people in attendance. The night was filled with a lot of fun
and great community spirit. We thank Steve Kerr for his work as MC on the
night. He did an awesome job amid a very rowdy crowd and a challenging sound
system. Thank you to Paul Fanning who designed the posters and tickets and Germaine
Locke-McLean who was the RSA Manager for the evening. Special thanks to the organising committee of
Michelle Francis, Sarah Dye, Tarquin Allen, Jo DiPino, and Kristy Roberts.
Overall the night was a fantastic success, raising approximately $4000.
Also, a big thank
you to our families who made their classroom donations for small raffle prizes
and the families with businesses who have made donations for the Quiz We are very
grateful to our sponsors. Without their generous donations the night would not have
been such a great success.
