Life Link Quilt

For the first time since Holy Cross College has been hosting the HCC Sleep Out Event, the Years 1-3 students were invited to participate. The students arrived early and shared a story, completed an activity and ate some soup. As part of raising awareness for homelessness the students traced their handprint onto a piece of cloth then stitched around it with wool. One of the parents, Mrs Hawser, kindly quilted the pieces together to make a blanket to be used to keep someone warm.

Over the past two weeks the students have been selling raffle tickets in an attempt to raise additional funds for Life Link. A total of $114.10 was raised. The winner of the raffle was drawn at the Junior School Assembly Tuesday, 28 July. Congratulations Mr Williamson.
