Information Evenings

It has been a great start to 2014 so far in Learning at Holy Cross. Our Year Seven students are settling in well and had their first lesson of Big Ideas today where they began to explore the concept of 'big questions'. There are certainly exciting times ahead for them.

Last week, we invited our Year Seven parents into the College for a seminar on Digital Citizenship. It was a chance for us to talk about the do's and don'ts of 21st century education. Thank you very much to parents for your positive feedback and attendance.

Week 3 will see our Junior and Middle School Information evenings on Wednesday 19 February. The evening will be an opportunity to meet staff at the BBQ and then gain important information about the year ahead via learning sessions. There  will be some additional workshops run in the Middle School time slot which include literacy and numeracy workshops, a further digital citizenship seminar and a session named Transition to Year 7, run by our Social Worker, Mrs Betti.

Very shortly, I plan to offer a workshop at the College for parents, new or existing, who wish to extend their own skills in ICT. Stay tuned for more information regarding this.
