Student Academic Tracking:
I look forward to working with Senior School students in tracking their academic progress this year. Ensuring students are on target for WACE graduation and are going to be successful in their chosen academic path (University, TAFE or otherwise) is a priority for me. Semester 1 exams start in four weeks time and students should be well into their revision program.
Literacy & Numeracy Tests for WACE Graduation:
Students graduating in Year 12 from 2016 onwards (Current Year 10's) will be required to successfully pass Mathematics & English literacy tests. Students who receive higher than band 8 in their Year 9 NAPLAN results will be exempt from this testing. Students must successfully pass these literacy tests if they are to be successful in receiving WACE graduation at the completion of their schooling. Students will have six opportunities between Year 10 and Year 12 to successfully pass these tests. More information will be given to Year 10 parents in the coming weeks.
