LifeLink 2016 and HCC SleepOut 2016

LifeLink 2016 Launch

7 Junior school students took a trip to Lake Monger reserve to take part in the launch of Archbishop Timothy Costelloe's LifeLink Appeal for 2016 today.

It was a lovely sunny morning albeit with a cold southerly wind hitting us in the faces as we waited for proceedings to start. No complaints from anyone as we joined over 70 other Catholic primary schools for the launch.

Each school was asked to bring a paper chain with links from all the members of the school and these were joined to form a giant spiral on the grass.

HCC SleepOut

Autumn Term each year is the Term where Holy Cross College  raises funds for the Archbishop's LifeLink Appeal. This will be occurring tomorrow night (9 June) and will be the start and highlight of our fund raising attempts this term. We will be collecting money for LifeLink but also want to put together special care packages for Passages and for The Shopfront. Please keep our efforts in your prayers as the students will definitely be feeling the cold that many of Perth's homeless feel every night.

Over the coming weeks our students will also be learning about the many Agencies that the Appeal funds here in Perth. We will never know when either we ourselves or people we know may need to any of these services in a time of need.

Junior School students will also take part again this year. More on the event next week.
