This term, Year 9s are embarking on a Big Ideas journey into the big question: “Can Perth Learn to Play?” They will be exploring their capital city through a focus on the concept of engagement and interconnections between people and Perth. In Week 1, we launched our project with in a “Big Ideas Carnival” in which students played “Can Toss” or “Pluck a Duck” where they could win prizes and a Perth landmark for which the students then created a “Monopoly” game square. In week two, we let the games begin! Over two weeks, students will engage in our big “Monopoly Perth” game, learning about landmarks all around Perth city.
