Anti-Poverty Mass

On Wednesday, 17 October, the three Faith Life Leaders along with Mrs Day and Mrs Fretwell attended an Anti-Poverty Mass at Good Shepherd Church in Lockridge. We had a lovely Mass and listened to the homily about how we are called to assist those living in poverty. We were asked to bring the candle that we received at last years Mass that represents the four Catholic charities, this was re-lit as a sign of our ongoing commitment to social justice. After the Mass, we shared a small meal with representatives from the other schools that included bread and water. After the meal, Mrs Fretwell shared her story about being a refugee.
