Year 7 Big Ideas: The Battle Begins!

On Thursday 8 June, the Year Seven students welcomed community groups, parent visitors, staff and students to their Big Ideas exhibition 'Battle of the Giants: Making a Better World.'

The students prepared a museum exhibit based on a person of their choice, identifying how this person changed the world.

Visitors were given five tokens to award to those students who best proved their case.

Several hundred visitors came though the exhibition over the course of the morning and the Year Sevens did a wonderful job of hosting their visitors and enjoyed discussing the importance of their chosen figure.

The standard of the students' work was exceptional and they should be very proud of the effort that they put in to their work.

The exhibition was a wonderful experience for all involved and we are very grateful to all the visitors who took time out of their day to attend.

At the end of this term, the students will use the tokens they collected to 'battle' their giants in the Big Ideas arena - and the ultimate victor will be determined!

The students who have been chosen to enter their exhibition into the National History Challenge will be announced shortly. The exhibits will be available to view during Middle School Learning Conversations in Week Ten of Autumn Term.

Well done to the students for their outstanding work!
