Year Ten River Cruise

On Friday the 4th of May, the beautiful Swan River was the setting for the Year 10 Social event of the year. The Crystal Swan Cruise Ship set off from Barrack Street Jetty at 5.00pm, just in time to watch the sunset over the city skyline. The young ladies were sophisticated in their evening wear and the young men were handsome and well groomed.

As the multi-story glass cube floated along the Swan River, the party came alive with an energetic DJ running a dance competition or two, which saw our students bust their best move on the dance floor to the sounds of contemporary, techno and rap. Students enjoyed the evening view of the cityscape from the narrow balconies of the glass cube, and waiters served drinks and canapés to add a sophisticated feel to the evening.

As the night drew to a close, the students flocked to the well-stocked lolly bar for their take home goodie bag. Once docked, the energy-sapped students ambled along the pier to take the bus home. The Year Ten River Cruise was a fabulous evening that I’m sure our students will remember for years to come.
