Secondary Solo Drama (Zophia Paluszak, Abbey'Lee Quantock and Calvin Thiel)
Chisholm Catholic College, Bedford
Senior Drama students travelled to Chisholm on Tuesday to present their scripted monologues for the Secondary Solo Drama Category. Zoe gave a very funny performance as a frustrated New Yorker attempting to deal with people in the supermarket, Abbey'Lee went down the rabbit hole, seeking some very good advice as Alice In Wonderland and Calvin brought the fat suit out once again and performed Bob's famous Puppet Show from this year's Senior Production, An Unspeakable Triumph of Supreme Brilliance. All students performed to a very high standard and should be very proud of this achievement!
Primary Sacred Choral (Junior Choir)
St Benedict's Church, Ardross
The Junior Choir made the long trip to Ardross on a rainy Wednesday to participate in the Primary Sacred Choral Section at St Benedict's. In a small section, they performed liturgical songs 'Celebrate Let's Celebrate' and 'Let Our Light Shine' with energy and reverence. The students did themselves and the College proud and were rewarded with a Merit Award for their efforts! Big congratulations to the Junior Choir and special thanks to Ms Connor, Mr Cunniffe, Mrs de Courcier and all the parents who attended on the day.
Jazz Combo (Jazz Ensemble)
Sacred Heart College, Sorrento
In the final group performance for Holy Cross this year, the Jazz Ensemble travelled to Sacred Heart College and lined up against an array of talented jazz bands. The small quartet presented classic jazz tunes Moondance and Autumn Leaves and held their own in a strong field. They are to be congratulated on a fantastic first performance as a group and we look forward to seeing their development!
