Junior School Update

Year 2

Last week, the College gathered together for a combined ANZAC Day and Easter Resurrection Liturgy. Jesus sacrificed his life and then rose from death to the jubilation and transformation of the disciples. In the same way, many of our forbears sacrificed their lives for our freedom in war. This freedom transformed nations. It is important that our children have the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the significance of ANZAC Day.

In order to recognise this importance, Year 2 participated in ANZAC day tasks to establish a link between the present generation and the past. They made wreaths after reading a short passage on what ANZAC Day means.

Much to their delight, the Year 2’s were also able to have their Basketball wind up. Lead by the secondary students, students played a range of fun games to end their Basketball coaching.

It has been a busy but enjoyable start to the new term!
