The Junior
School Assembly will be hosted by Ms Henderson’s Year 6 Class in the Learning
Resource Centre, San Salvador commencing at 2.15pm.

Commissioning Mass for Staff
More than
5,000 teachers and staff from Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Perth
and the Catholic Education Office will attend one of five Commissioning
Masses, some held at St Mary’s Cathedral and others held in nominated
Parishes. The Commissioning Mass has established a unique welcome to new
staff as it brings school staff together as a community to celebrate the
start of the school year and to dedicate their talents and efforts to the
ideals of Catholic Education.
The Commissioning
Mass for staff in Catholic schools in the Eastern and North Eastern
Metropolitan region will be held at Good Shepherd Parish, Lockridge
commencing at 4.30pm.

Years 4/5/6 & 7 Swimming Carnival
The
carnival will be held in two parts with Years 4-6 students competing in the
morning leaving at 8.45am by bus, travelling to the Chisholm Catholic College
swimming pool and arriving back at Holy Cross College around lunchtime.
The Years 4-6 Carnival runs from 9.30am-12.00pm and the Year 7 Carnival runs from 12.00pm-2.30pm. Parking for parents will be available via the May Street entrance to Chisholm Catholic College and we welcome as much parent support as possible. There will be no canteen access for parents or students and parents are asked to remain in the pool area at all times.
Year 7 students
compete in the afternoon and will also travel to the pool by bus leaving
later in the morning.

Welcome BBQ and Parent
Information Evening
This is
an important event where parents are required to attend a number of
information sessions aimed at helping families to support their children in
their educational endeavours.
The night
is also an opportunity enjoy a sausage sizzle and drink for a gold coin
donation, as well as meet other students and their families and talk to your
child’s teachers. The sausage sizzle is hosted by the Friends of Holy Cross
and parents are encouraged to contact Mrs Susan Sorensen, President, through
the College office to lend support.
There are
a number of different sessions scheduled at different times throughout the
evening. Parents have received an
individual notice outlining the booking procedure using the Parent Teacher Online (PTO) Portal.
Bookings must be made no later than Friday 19 February 2016.
Junior
School Information Sessions: 4.30pm-5.30pm
There will be two sessions. The first sessions will
be offered for all Year Levels at 4.30pm and a repeat session at 5.00pm.
Sessions will be held in each of the respective Junior School classrooms.
Meeting
with House Tutor Group (HTG) Middle School Students Years 7-9: 5.15pm-5.30pm
This is an opportunity for parents
to meet with students’ HTG Teacher. Parents and students will meet their HTG teacher
in designated areas in the undercroft.
Welcome BBQ for All Families:
5.30pm-6.30pm
The BBQ to welcome all families to
the Holy Cross College community will be held in the undercroft. A gold coin
donation is requested for a sausage sizzle and drink.
Middle
School Information Sessions: 6.30pm-8.30pm
The Middle School Information Evening is aimed
at providing parents/guardians with a toolkit of ideas to assist their
children and will include a compulsory Year Level session and two further
sessions in which parents can choose from.
