Friday 24th
February saw Years 4-7 descend upon the Chisholm College Swimming Pool to take
part in the Inter House Junior and Year 7 Swimming Carnival for 2017.
This year
saw both carnivals run concurrently with all students staying at the Carnival
all day. This change contributed to an outstanding atmosphere where the
students displayed exuberant and supportive House spirit while competing and
participating.
The races
were well contested and it was especially pleasing to see such a large number
of students participating in events and giving a massive amount of effort for
their House. The novelty events were also filled brilliantly with all three of
these being closely fought out, with plenty of enjoyment had by all
participants.
Across the
day, students were competing for the Year 7 Swimming Shield and the Junior
Swimming Shield (Year 4-6) the end result for both Competitions were extremely
close.
