Sister Frances Visit to Holy Cross

On Tuesday 30th of June, Sister Frances of the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart visited the College. She came along to talk to the students of the McCormack House as well as the Year One, Two and Three classes. 

Sister Frances taught us different things about Peru and showed us photos of the places she had visited throughout the country, the local people and their traditions. She even taught the students some spanish!

She spoke about Sister Irene McCormack and shared some stories about her with us. Sister Frances explained the mission in Peru of the Josephite Sisters and the work they continue to do for the poor and vulnerable. 

It was a great opportunity for the students to see photos of the school that their donations from College Feast Day and the McCormack House Feast Day are going towards, and also to hear some stories about Sister Irene McCormack.
