Meeting
of the Executive and Council Coordinators
The Friends of Holy Cross Executive and Council
Coordinators met on Wednesday 4 March 2015 to plan the activities for 2015.
There was a wonderful spirit of enthusiasm and fellowship.
During 2015, the Executive will work to
establish a strong foundation to ensure the sustainability of the Friends of
Holy Cross into the future.
Significant discussion centred on the possible
activities of the Councils for 2015. Numerous options were considered
including fundraising, social and faith activities. Further information about
these events will be published in the coming months.
It was agreed that the first fundraising
venture would be the sale of Hot Cross Buns. It is hoped to send home an order
form with students this week with orders and payment to be submitted to the
College reception by Wednesday 25 March 2015
to ensure timely delivery prior to Easter on Wednesday 1 April 2015 for collection from the undercroft outside the College Café from 2.00pm to 5.00pm.
The student leadership is hoping that the
Friends of Holy Cross could use some of the funds raised towards the purchase
of further seating for the undercover area outside the College Café.
A number of College events were outlined that
require the support of parents at various times throughout the year. A list of
the events is shown below:

The Executive and Council
Coordinators represent the coordinating body of the Friends of Holy Cross, but
will rely on the generosity of the College parent community to volunteer their
time and talents at various functions or events. It is acknowledged that not
everyone wants to be on a committee but that people are willing to help out
when needed. Assistance could mean providing some cakes or helping out at a
BBQ. To help share the load the Friends of Holy wish to create a list of parents
who are willing to provide assistance when needed. Parents are asked to provide their email and phone contact to Louise
Breadsell, FHC Secretary, or myself via the Friends of Holy Cross email
address: fhs@holycross.wa.edu.au.
Thank you in anticipation
of your support and we look forward to a bright and prosperous future for the
Friends of Holy Cross and our students.
Best wishes
Susan Sorenson
President - Friends of
Holy Cross
