Congratulations to all
students who took part in the ACC 'F' Division Swimming Carnival, Wednesday 18 March. Holy Cross
College performed competitively all day in our first year since being promoted
from 'G' Division. It was a consistent team performance with only a handful of
points separating third through to sixth position.
There were a number of
individual performances that we would like to highlight:
Alex Rankin - U14 Runner Up
Age Champion
Hannah Schnell - U15 Runner
Up Age Champion
Thomas Stewart - U16 Age
Champion
Talia Catlin - U16 Runner
Up Age Champion
James Evans (Year 12), Alex Rankin (Year 8) and
Hannah Schnell (Year 9) are to be commended on their commitment to the team and
for their 100% attendance to all training sessions over the term.
James Evans, a Year 12 students at HCC, sets a
great example to his peers. James is committed to learning and achieving
outstanding results, but he balances this with our Enrichment pillar through
the respective ACC teams. James has done this throughout his time at Holy Cross
College. Thank you James for leading by example.
Special mention to the following students who swam
out of their age group - Isaac Ricketts (Year 7), Grace Beazley (Year 8) and
Nayan Kerai (Year 10).
Swim Captains Casey Van Der Merwe and James
Evans swam well whilst encouraging and supporting their peers.
