Year 7 Big Ideas Launch

On Wednesday 30th April, year 7 students were introduced to their big question for big ideas this term; ‘What will save the world: honey bees, or computer chips?’ Both are small and mighty, but which is the most important? 

To launch this topic and get students fully immersed in both sides of the question, all year 7 students spent a day at Scitech in Perth. 

While at Scitech, students could observe a real beehive, and watch how bees go about their daily business. They had a chance to speak with an apiarist to start to find out more about bees. 

We also enjoyed a science show, which Miss O’Neill participated in, and had lots of time to explore all the science and technology exhibits, before visiting the planetarium.

A great day was had by all!
