A new start for Autumn Term

KINDY

Welcome to Term 2! It was so lovely to see the children’s happy faces upon their return back to school. They have all settled back into routine very quickly and are glad to be with their friends again.

 

This term we are working really hard on learning the different letters in our names. We learnt that Sophie’s name starts with the letter “S”. We have been exploring other things in our classroom that start with the letter “s”. We had sparkly play dough, slime and soapy water. We also had a sale at our shop. After making springy striped snakes we cooked some small sausages on a stick and stuck them in sauce; they smelled and tasted yummy! 

We look forward to seeing our Kindy mums at our special Mother’s Day celebrations next Thursday for some fun and pampering. 

YEAR ONE

Term 2 already! We’ve started the term with a lot of enthusiasm. The children enjoyed telling each other all about their holiday adventures and BOY did they have fun!  

During Mathematics we have enjoyed learning about plotting numbers on number lines and finding out what number comes before and after.

On Thursday we all participated in our Shuttlethon! It was a lot of fun and each child ran well for 10 minutes. Ozanam came first with 195 laps followed by Salvado, McCormack and Frayne. 

This Friday the children have welcomed Chester into their classroom. Chester is our classroom teddy who will go on adventures with our ‘Star of the Week’ on the weekends. Monika was our ‘Star of the Week’ for the first week of term!
